Roofing & cladding bending and forming machines shape metal sheets and coils into roof panels, flashings, gutters, and cladding profiles. Common equipment includes roll formers, folder brakes, pan formers and seaming machines. These systems are coil-fed or sheet-fed, often CNC- or PLC-controlled, and valued for profile consistency, throughput and compatibility with specific metals and thicknesses.
Verify the machine’s profile capability, coil width and metal thickness limits, condition of rollers and tooling, gearbox and drive condition, control system (PLC/HMI), spare parts availability, maintenance records and ask for a live test run with material similar to what you’ll use.
Large machines are partially disassembled for transport, moved on flatbeds or lowboys, and require crane hookup for unloading. Coordinate secure crating, export paperwork, riggers, on-site foundation or level surface, alignment, electrical hookup (phase/voltage) and commissioning by a technician.
Perform regular lubrication of bearings and chains, inspect and clean rollers, check roll alignment and tooling wear, monitor gearbox and hydraulic oil levels, inspect electrical connections, keep spare tooling and scheduled preventive inspections to avoid profile defects and downtime.
