Check rotor straightness, hammer condition, wear liners, bearing play, gearbox and oil condition, feed chute wear and records of replacements. Look for signs of uneven wear or repaired cracks.

Disassemble rotor and removable hammers for transport when possible, secure heavy parts, use certified heavy-haul carriers, obtain permits for oversized loads and plan lifting with certified rigging.

Inspect and replace hammers and liners based on wear, monitor rotor balance and bearings, change gearbox and engine oils per hours, clear feed and discharge, and keep vibration and temperature logs.
