This bionic swift weighs only 42 grams, comparable to a sparrow, yet is significantly larger. The BionicSwift is approximately 44 cm long, with a wingspan of up to 68 cm. The BionicSwift's main shell houses the flapping wing structure and communication array, including dual servo motors, a brushless motor, and circuit boards for batteries, radios, control, and location sensors. This structure enables intelligent interaction between the motors and mechanical systems, allowing the BionicSwift to perform large-scale maneuvers such as steep dives and barrel rolls by adjusting the flapping frequency and lift angle of its wings. The BionicSwift's flight time is stable, but currently limited to seven minutes. The Bionic Swift uses indoor, radio-based GPS to determine flight direction. This system ensures that the five Bionic Swifts can autonomously coordinate their movements within a defined aerial zone and avoid collisions.
The use of autonomous flying robots like the Bionic Swift and routing technology using wireless communications will enable more advanced 3D navigation systems in future connected factories.
