Description
The Foss Hydrotec 8000 automated hydrolysis unit is a fully automated acid hydrolysis system ideal for busy laboratories that need to process many samples. It is an innovative system that performs automatic acid hydrolysis without sample transfer. With smaller footprint, it takes up little space and has unique features for batch processing of 12 samples. Chemicals are added and removed by a pump, improving safety and reducing the risk of human error. After hydrolysis, the samples and HydroCaps are dried and placed in the specially designed tool for transfer to the extraction unit in sets of six hydrolyzed samples. The filter is made of an inert material that retains the fat during hydrolysis but releases it during extraction.
