The Tissue-Tek® SmartWrite® Slide Printer is a high resolution thermal transfer printer designed for on-demand printing of colored identifiers directly on to microscope slides for use in pathology and cytology laboratories. The uniquely formulated thermal ink provides easy to read printing that is chemically resistant and smudge proof when dry. The high resolution (300 dpi) makes it possible to print alpha numeric characters, as well as 2D barcodes and graphics.
The SmartWrite Slide Printer accommodates 3" x 1" x .040" standard or positive charged slides with clipped corners and smooth, clean frosted ends. The frosted coating should cover 20mm of the length of the slides. The coating must be of uniform thickness across the entire width of the slide. The blue slide holder will support 100 slides when full.
