The SMW200A is an ideal signal generator for developing new broadband communication systems, verifying 3G and 4G base stations, and digital modulation signals required in aerospace and defense.
With an internal baseband, up to 2GHz of I/Q modulation bandwidth can meet 4th and 5th generation standards (such as 5G, LTE-Advanced and IEEE 802.11ac/ad), and the SMW200A is designed to meet future needs. Its modular, scalable architecture enables users to optimize the generator for their specific applications and upgrade it as needed.
A second RF path can be added, as well as supporting up to 2 baseband modules and 4 fading simulator modules without compromising signal quality. As a result, the SMW200A can create signal scenarios that previously required multiple instruments or were not possible at all. From up to 8x8 MIMO and LTE-Advanced carrier aggregation signals including fading to multi-standard wireless technologies, no single instrument has ever been able to provide such complete signal generation capabilities.
