1715-AENTR Redundant I/O EtherNet/IP Adapter, requires 1715-A2A Dual Processor Module Base Backplane; Communicates via the EtherNet/IP network to a 1756 ControlLogix controller, which conveys system I/O data
The 1715-AENTR Ethernet Adapter Module is produced by for the 1715 Redundant I/O systems. This module support Device Level Ring (DLR) or Start Topologies through its dual Ethernet Communication port with autosensing capability. It serves as “proxy” module to all Ethernet I/P messages that goes in and out of the redundant I/O modules. This redundant I/O family is especially designed for the ControlLogix family of Programmable Automation Controllers (PAC). Implementing Redundant I/O system, as well as redundant communication network increases process uptime and reduces the risk of unwanted system downtime.
