The 2711P-RN10C communication module is a DeviceNet communication module that is made for the PanelView Plus 400 and 600 series terminals. All the PanelView Plus and the PanelView Plus CE terminals with DeviceNet communication modules support DeviceNet scheduled I/O communications. PanelView Plus and PanelView Plus CE terminals operate as scanner or slave devices on the DeviceNet network. The terminal can be configured as a slave or scanner terminal by using the RSView Studio Machine Edition, RSLogix 5000, or RSNetWorx for DeviceNet software. Any communication cable that is used should not be connected to or disconnected from the 2711P-RN10C module or any network device while the power is applied. Failure to follow this precaution can lead to an electrical arc which could cause an explosion.
