Check the mounting interface (pin spacing or quick coupler type), required hydraulic flow and pressure, and the control valve functions. Compare these specs to your loader’s plate, hydraulic pump rates and pressure relief settings.

Look for frame cracks, worn or replaced cutting teeth, hydraulic cylinder leaks, bearing/wear plate condition, and service history. Verify spares availability for cutting tools and hydraulic seals.

Attachments are shipped on flatbeds or lowboys, often requiring special tie-downs and a lift plan. Confirm weight and dimensions for permits, and arrange proper blocking to prevent movement during transit.

If the attachment exceeds legal width, height or weight for your region, oversize permits and escorts may be required. Check local regulations before scheduling pickup or delivery.

Regularly inspect and replace cutting teeth, grease pivot points, check and torque fasteners, monitor hydraulic hoses and seals, and clean debris from gearboxes and cooling passages.

Match the attachment’s working weight and hydraulic demand to your loader’s rated lift, stability and hydraulic capacity. Oversized units can overload components and reduce safety and performance.
