Match the grapple’s weight class, pin diameter or quick-coupler pattern, and required hydraulic flow/pressure with your machine. Confirm rotator torque and control valve compatibility.

Inspect jaws and wear tips for heavy wear or cracks, check cylinders for leaks and rod pitting, examine pins/bushings for play, and run a cycle test to check rotation and hydraulics.

Note attachment weight and dimensions, use certified rigging for lifting, secure with chains for transport, and plan for special permits or escorts if oversized. Crating may be needed for long-distance freight.

Grease pins and bearings regularly, inspect and replace worn tips or wear plates, check hydraulic hoses and seals, monitor cylinder rod condition, and keep rotator and bolt torque checked to spec.

Availability depends on brand and age. Choose common OEMs or aftermarket-supported models and confirm stock of wear parts (tips, bushings, seals) and rotator service kits before buying.
