Use a carrier experienced with sewing equipment, secure the machine in its case or crate, disconnect power and loose parts, pad moving parts, and insure the shipment for full value.

Regularly clean lint and dust, oil moving parts per the manual, replace needles and belts as needed, check timing and tension, and service the motor and feed mechanisms periodically.
